My newest

So I got bored at like midnight last night and decided to make a cute little top, took like 4hrs [yeah, long?, but I was making it up as I went so yeah] Made from, I believe, a XL off-white/cream colored shirt [the same one I used to line that other tank that I posted the other day], and the pink-lined stuff is from the bottom of a dress from Forever21 that I cut hella inches off and rehemed, since it was too long. Anyways, enjoy?

^ My intials I stiched into the top heart on it, just for fun.

It's a dark pic but that's the back... the pink ribbing? goes all the way around, then I stiched on a tubed piece to tie into a bow.

And a close up of the hearts, hand stitched.

Now I have a slight issue. When I did the tube itself, it fit fine... even a bit loose. But then once I added the top, bottom and middle pieces, now it's actually too tight in those areas and some of the stiches even ripped as I put it on... so why'd that happen? I didn't gather it as I sewed the rest on, so I'm just.. a wee bit confused since the material I added should have the same stretch. Happen to anyone else? Suggestions?
