yay! new bag!!!

well, after the longest week EVER (college, woo?) I made a bag from this shirt I posted with a question ages ago:

and made a lovely thing to hold... everything!!!

cut the bottom off the make the bag proper, used the top as an outside pocket, has an inside pocket, sleeves as strap, three-button closure (didnt feel likc futzing with a zipper and I didnt have one to match anyways.

so here are the initial cuts to make, cut on the green, sew on the red, kay? so youve got a basic... bag. now, to do the outside pocket, you cut away the back of the collar, right up to the collar, andmake the whole front "patch" basically sqaure, so you end up sewing like this:

once youve done that, add your inside pocket and hem (I suppose at this point if you wanted to add a zipper you could, just did buttons at the end)

so then sew together the sleeves at the top edges (the pits, you know) so make one strap with the cuffs at the ends, and sew those ends to the bag like this

this makes a REAlLY wide and somewhat cumbersome strap, but I really wanted to keep those cuffs, so I just fold it in half at the midpoint.

and then you have a bag! if any of this is confusing, Ill try to fix it?
